Using the aforementioned internet connection, have it request maintenance according to a preset schedule and sensors that detect if something broke. You could also monitor how much power it's receiving from each part of the solar panels so you know if part of the panel is no longer producing power for some reason.
Add a windmill so it gains power at night too.
I would love if it was an internet hotspot.
