This is happening to eveyone not just you, I read somewhere that the hand off feature has actually been put on hold and will come out when Yosemtite comes out in October. I guess it's so the feature can be cometr since it also works with your max, although I dont understand and why they would do that since people have iPhones and iPads already on ios8.

Per Apples own website under iOS8 in the footnotes:

"Continuity features are available on iPhone 5 or later, iPad (4th generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPod touch (5th generation)."

So bummed!

according to MacRumors handoff is not supported on Ipad 2 or Ipad 3

Enable Bluetooth on both devices and it should work automatically.

Hi everyone...

I updated my iphone 5 and my ipad 2 today to iOS 8 and the handoff feature doesn't seem to work. I can make and receive calls from my ipad 2 through my iPhone 5 but the continuity doesn't work. I'm logged in with the same iCloud account on both devices and on the same wifi network. Please if you know what's the problem let me know! Thanks!
