If you watch someone build an app on a video, you'll learn how to write that one app. Probably you can figure out by example how to make minor changes in the finished result, but you are not really learning how to create "your own app".

I assume you mean an "app" for an Android phone or tablet. Google for "Android tutorial" and I'm sure you'll get a bunch of hits. If you really want to learn how to make an app, though, don't complain about not knowing Java. Learn it.

Then learn how to use Java with Android to make your app.
