Window Mail setup for Existing Qwestoffice.net Accounts


Open up Windows Mail

1. Click on Tools

2. Click on Account...

3. Select your account from the list (if you have more than one)

4. Click on the Properties button

5. Update the email address by changing the text after the '@' sign from qwest.net to qwestoffice.net

6. Click on Apply to save the change

7. Click on the Servers tab

8. Change the incoming mail server to 'pop.qwestoffice.net' and change the outgoing mail server to 'smtp.qwestoffice.net'

9. Update the username to your new qwestoffice.net email address. If the password has been changed, update that too. (If you are unsure of the password, log into http://sitecontrol.qwestoffice.net with your primary email address and password, enter the Email section and change the password)

10. Ensure the 'My server requires authentication' box is checked

11. Click the 'Settings' button

12. Ensure the 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' option is selected and then click OK

13. Click on the'Apply' button

14. Click on the Advanced tab

15. Click into the box next to 'This server requires a secure connection (SSL) so a checkmark appears

16. Change the outgoing port from 25 to '465'

17. Click OK

18. Click on the Close button

19. Lastly, click on Send/Receive to test your account settings.
