My camera says read error and write error?

If you remember doing any of these, then your errors could be related:

? Power off while data is writing into a memory card

? Take out memory card from media devices while data is being written off

? Batteries running out as files are being transferred

? Remove memory card from a card reader that being plugged on PC

? Using a memory card which has not been formatted

? Quick shooting and deleting images when memory card is full

**Not sure how old your camera is, but old cameras and the card readers on older computers just can't read 4GB or higher SDHC cards.

**Check to see if the memory card is locked. That will surely give you such errors.

If that isn't the problem then follow these steps:

**Check the card slot by inserting a different memory card. At least this will tell you if it is the memory card having issues or if it is your camera.

**If the camera won't write to the memory card, then it could be because the memory card isn't in the correct format. Put the card back in the camera and format it in the options. This will ensure that the card will be compatible.

If ALL ELSE FAILS, FOLLOW STEPS BELOW:

Download memory card recovery tool and install it on your pc. There are four steps to do:

Select Deleted Recovery (If you want to recover deleted files). It will take you a few minutes to scan your SD card; (Format Recovery, for recovering files from formatted memory card; Partition Recovery for recovering lost, deleted, corrupted partitions; Raw Recovery is available for logical damaged or corrupted memory card file recovery.)

You can see all recoverable files listed on the task window, click the files you want to get back;

Select a path folder for the recovered files to save in;

Click “OK” to finish memory card data recovery;

Format the memory card to repair corrupted memory card.
