Ruby on rails is used for server-side website development. The world of computer programming is much wider. I suggest you go for a modern general purpose language like Python. You can still do server-side web development with Python (using a package like Django)
So I've been doing research on making websites and programming. It seems like ruby on rails is the way to go. Seems to have a lot of functionality as far as building e commerce and something similar to uber. So far it seems like ruby is a language part of it. so my question is can i start with this or is php, c++, or python experience needed? Anybody know anyone that only studied ruby on rail?
