One of the first things you should search for is the address of your local library. Most libraries have books on Java. If they don't have any, discuss the situation with the librarian.
The best general purpose book for Java is : http://www.amazon.com/Java-Bible-Aaron-E...
For specific cases not covered in the book, search for examples on the net.
The net is the best resource for cracking almost any programming problem.
Hey Guys,
I know basic computer skills, and I've learned basic, very basic programming skills in Pascal, matlab and fortran.
Now I want to learn JAVA to program either programs to computers and mobile apps. I've been told that it's better to start with computer programs, but I don't know how to start, do you know any books or something good and helpful?
