I have a school project to do, and i decided to create a laser turret. For now, it's manually controlled, but i would like to make it automated. The laser is able to cut through thin surfaces such as a balloon whichh will be the test object. I have at my disposal :

- Sony digital camera able to distinguish different colours

-Laser Diode

So what tools would i need to code an automated turret? I want it to be able to distinguish different colours. What do i need, and how would i program it?
