If you own a website, let's say mywebsite.com, and people are making links to say, rubbish.mywebsite.com , you can get onto the DNS management page of your provider and redirect those to a page of your choosing to catch them. More likely, your provider already will catch anything that you do not claim, and use it for their own advertising. If you have a DNS entry like *.mywebsite.com , and remove that, that should send the subdomain links off somewhere else.
