If you can see the symbol on your keyboard but cannot type it on screen, try adjusting the input sources of your keyboard, found in System Preferences under Keyboard.

If you cannot see the symbol on your keyboard then buy a keyboard that does or get it replaced if you still have warranty.

There is a button on your keyboard that displays that symbol.

It is located two to the left from the shift key (right side of keyboard)

You must hold down shift as you press it.
