I don't think that any of the Enlisted MOS do actual coding since most of the software is developed by contractors. The only possible exception would be the 25 series WO. I had looked at going that route since I am a programmer on the civilian side but 12 series on the Reserves, and my civilian experience gives me the in for prerequisites on that MOS.

In the end 25 series would be the way in... after getting a little experience I would go WO (I believe it is 251A)

You may actually get more opportunities to write meaningful code as a 25F. And the experience may look better on your resume.
