I will be attending a hackathon in four days, in which I'm expected to come up with the next big/interesting app.
PS. This will be my first; and it is a rare opportunity in my environment.
Now, I do believe I have a great idea, but here is the tricky part- my web-dev knowledge is somewhat rusty.
*So here is where I need you.* My knowledge bank (currently):
- I have somewhat basic knowledge of **Java** core (so I don't know the
SQL, networking, JSP and the more advanced parts).
- I know just enough to write a simple CLI/CUI app in **Python**.
- I also do know **HTML4, CSS,** & *CSS3* (a bit).
I could work with a team (of up to 4) at the hackathon, but do not want to be over-dependent on them.
I have started learning **Bootstrap** and **Javascript** because of this.
**Questions:**
Given the background information;
1. Would I be able to gain sufficient Bootstrap and Javascript/JQuery know-how to cope at the event?
2. Would I also be able to learn at least a back-end language within the given time? If yes, which do you suggest I'd learn quickly upon going through JS/Bootstrap: (*PHP / Python(Django/Flask) / JSP / RonR / Node.js*?)
3. What do you generally advice?
