If you are using AdBlockPlus:
Click on the icon, and select "Options".
Select "Customize" at the top bar
There are two options here that may be useful to you:
"Show ads everywhere except for these domains..."
and
"Block an ad by its URL"
I'm not sure if this will work, but you could try to use a different browser for the different groups of websites.

I don't want to turn them off in all sites i visit since that is the main revenue source for content producers. Just the ones that are annoying.
