The only reason to run chkdsk is that Windows/Dos has a

very inefficient filesystem, resulting in fragmented disks. I

hope you also ran defrag. Don't worry about viewing the log

files; you wouldn't be able to understand them, nor would I;

they are about the hard disk, and the condition of your file

system. It's for the system to deal with, not the poor user.

I ran chkdsk and waited about 2 hours to finish but I don't see the log on event viewer but I see that it has created a bootsqm.dat I am wondering if that is the logs and how to view it.
