Gimp is an open source photoshop like program. You get what you pay for. If you want to be a successful web designer, you need to invest in quality software for your clients.
You might want to try ultimatewb software. It is very flexible and you can add/edit your own coding.
We will suggest Notepad++
I would like few suggestions / alternatives for Adobe's Dreamweaver application.
I am a web designer and I don't want to pay for subscription based software (but I don't mind to purchase it) so I am looking for a program to replace my Dreamweaver CS5.
What I need is a program for website development, for PC, usable as either a WYSIWYG or direct code editor. I want it to be able to display a split view for both modes on-screen, to handle site management, active content from Flash to Javascript, XML, HTML5, CSS etc.
Finally I want to be able to preview the content / pages I create in real time using a built-in browser.
Could you please provide any suggestions?
