There are additional non-security patches in update 72, but Oracle recommends that update only if you are affected by issues in those patches. See:

You have to get Java 7 updates from Oracle now. (Maybe download sites have it too, but I only trust downloads from official source sites, and there are only two official sites to get the Java runitme: oracle.com and java.com (both owned and run by Oracle.) The java.com site is a high-volume site for the most current stable version, and that's Java 8 now.
Get the JRE (not JDK and not "Server JRE") from the link above, for your operating system.
For 32-bit Windows, choose "x86" and the "offline" version tends to detect and properly install in situations where the online installer won't. The other versions (including x64 for 64-bit Windows) are only provided as "offline" downloads.
Java already has a few newer versions. Go to https://java.com/en/download/index.jsp and download the latest version, Java 8 update 25.
