I stumbled across the idea of what would happen if you linked nidoran and ilumise evolution trees with an editing tool. I'm wondering if it would result in a split tree.

The question is if the case is checked when the node is investigated (such as the case with wobuffet or marill) and changes the species at that point before moving on, or if it's checked only if the egg result would be a Nidoran/ilumise.
