How to change my default web browser on Safari?

Safari is a program, such as Internet Explorer, which I DO NOT recommend, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. In order to change your default web browser, which you can't do from Safari, we would need to know what your platform is in order to help you. For Windows 7 and Windows Vista, follow these instructions (Note: Windows 8's process will be similar):

1) Click on the Windows Start Button and in the search field type: default. When the search returns Default Programs, click on it to open the Default Programs screen.

2) At the default programs screen, click on the Set your default programs option.

3) A screen will open that lists all the installed programs that can be configured as some sort of default in Windows. Select the web browser that you wish to be the default Windows web browser and click on the Set this program as default button.

Press the OK button to exit the Control Panel.

The selected browser is now set as the default.

Safari, you see, is a web browser. If you dislike it, install another. Unless you are

actually on a safari, meaning a long trip through troubled countries, and have poor

internet connections. In that case, I would stick with the lousy browser you have

until you get home. Then install a new browser.
