You got a loooooonnnnggg way to go, buddy. You have be able to design the game, put them into your classes, map out the buttons and you need a GUI. There's more coding you'll need to get too. The thing that sucks is that there really isnt a tutorial on how to map buttons or add images, or sound to classes and use them as sprites for a game. Just keep looking around and maybe you'll find one.

How much knowledge of java do i need to know in order to make a simple 2d platform game?????????

right now i now the basics like loops, if thens, variables, input stuffs and output stuffs, and arrays.

i dont really know how to put classes together? also i do not know how to make a window pop up in order to actually play the game. WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
